Since 1927, the Alpha Gamma chapter of Omega Nu has been dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Yolo County.
Our most cherished program is our annual award of scholarships to local high school graduates. We look for students with a financial need, high academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to the Woodland community. Our scholarships support students attending 2-year, 4-year colleges and trade schools.
Our Process...
One of the distinctive features of our scholarship selection process that we take pride in as an organization, is the inclusion of a panel interview. This tradition is a testament to our dedication to a thorough and equitable evaluation of our applicants. Our recipients don't have to be the top of their class. We look for students who shine and impress us with their story, taking into consideration work ethic, involvement in their school, community service, and future aspirations.
As costs continue to rise, we make a commitment to increase our scholarship awards to make a substantial and meaningful impact for our recipients when we can.
